Sisyphus and the Myth of a Liveable City, far from being an exhibition
that would have reached its final stage, is the overview of an ongoing
interdisciplinary research thesis by Maïder Hastoy. Positioning itself
as a report of concern, this work in progress proposes a blend of urban
and social design analysis, relying on countless budget and law reports,
architecturally styled visuals, and a crossing of philosophical, and spatial
reflection.It draws the cynical portrait of a dying public space,
raising misery, but also putting light on the hope of a possible and
practical housing-related social justice, with a sole idea that prevails:
It does not need to be lawful to be legit.
